Watson said to the press that he intended to challenge Peter Dawson about the 60 year old limitation on former champions, just imposed this year. The reason for the change was to allow for more young qualifiers. If you will remember, Jack Nicklaus played his last at the Old Course at St. Andrews at age 65 just 4 tournaments ago in 2005. Perhaps a happy medium would be to have some sort of minimum performance standard on the Senior tour(s) to ensure the "geezers" are still competitive enough to warrant their inclusion after age 60.

Next year at St. Andrews will be it for golf's Huck Finn. Watson had his talk with Dawson and now has changed his tune in public. Apparently, the talk did not go as well as Watson hoped.

What if Watson were to ...gulp.... win The Open next year? Wouldn't he be able to come back as "defending champion"?

Even if he were to make top ten, it would be hard to stick to the age limitation. I do think some players (sadly even Jack & Arnie) played in The Open way after they should have, but perhaps the R&A could base entry of previous winners on last year's performance rather than just age?

I came to Japan on vacations. I got to play with an amazing golf club.
It was beautiful, and it made me realize the meaning of Japanese tech. These guys know how to make stuff the right way
The golf shop where I got it from has been doing business for 39 years. It’s located in Shinjuku, Tokyo’s heart and it’s widely recognized as one of the top sellers in Japan.
They even have a web site where you can buy their stuff. They offer 1-7 days fast delivery worldwide, and you can pay through Pay Pal or CC. .If you buy in quantity, shipping and handling fees get cheaper.
If you buy something that’s sold out, they will get a new product for you straight from the factory, you never get and older model or used product.
If by any reason you ask for a refund, they credit you back shipping and handling charges as well as Pay Pal fee.
They make U$S 99 invoices, so you don’t have to pay customs’ taxes.
Most of their items can only be found in the Japanese market, neither in USA nor in Europe.
You can get an amazing deal. This are 100% Japan made products, not cheap China imitations.
Please have a look at their online stores, check their ebay ranking, is flawless.

(if you buy from this store is even cheaper since there is no ebay fee or commission to pay)

I just wanted to let you know, I hope you take advantage if it.
Cheers.
